Caps or finials for post tops Crum Lynne, Pennsylvania

Nestled in the quiet borough of Crum Lynne, Pennsylvania, lies a little-known secret that adds charm and character to its local landscapes: caps or finials for post tops. These decorative elements are more than mere adornments; they embody a rich tradition of craftsmanship and attention to detail that is woven into the fabric of this small community.

Caps or finials serve an essential purpose beyond their aesthetic appeal. They protect the vulnerable end grains of posts from weathering and decay, thus prolonging the life of fences, decks, and porches. However, in Crum Lynne, these functional pieces have been elevated to an art form.

The selection process for choosing a cap or finial is akin to picking the perfect crown for a beloved monarch—it must reflect both strength and grace. Homeowners take pride in selecting designs that complement their personal style as well as the architectural heritage of their homes. From classic wooden acorns to ornate copper globes, each piece is meticulously chosen with an eye towards creating a cohesive visual narrative within the neighborhood tapestry.

Intriguingly enough, it's not uncommon for these humble components to become conversational centerpieces at local gatherings. Residents might discuss the merits of various materials—whether one prefers the natural patina of aged copper or the sleek finish of powder-coated aluminum—and share stories about how they stumbled upon their perfect match at an antique fair or through a skilled local artisan.

Crum Lynne's dedication to preserving this quaint tradition ensures that every stroll down its streets offers a visual feast. Each cap or finial whispers tales of history and community pride, standing as silent sentinels that guard against both time and elements while simultaneously delighting passersby with their intricate beauty.

In conclusion, while caps or finials for post tops may seem like minor details in the grand scheme of urban development, in places like Crum Lynne they represent something far greater—a commitment to beauty and durability that symbolizes the heart of a close-knit community. It's here where these small crowning touches capture our imaginations and inspire us to appreciate the finer subtleties embedded within our everyday surroundings.

We cannot say enough concerning Philz Landscape. One call and I connected with Pat. He met with us for a project which entailed removal of a partial cinder block porch with iron poles and remodeled an entire porch. We are pleased with the work performed. We found found that Pat was a man of his word and committed to pleasing us with minor finishes. I would highly recommend this company. Sincerely, Ricky and Donna L Jones

Angi provided me with several contractors, I received estimates but chose Philz Landscaping (even after coming in higher) because he satisfied with his estimate and start date our fervent desire to complete the project before winter set in. Alex, Javier set the example of professionalism in setting up the area to remove fencing and gate, installed vinyl fence with double gate (assisted by Carlos), removed all debris, left my yard spotless and we are extremely satisfied with the new fence and gate. Questions we had were answered (Helena, Phil) promptly and Alex, Javier went above and beyond ensuring my wife’s concerns were taken care of; I want again to Thank the team at Philz Landscaping and recommend highly to perform your project.

Had Phil and his workers come by my house to work on the backyard in May this year. Eliminate weeds, regrade soil and replant grass seed. 158 feet worth of backyard which he estimated $1600 to do. There was a hiccup with his office and scheduling and he wasn't even aware of the set date in mid-May. He rescheduled for the week after and took off $100 for inconvenience. His crew shows up and does the job and weeks after, grass grew....but not fully in corners of the yard. I called him back, voicemail immediately. Got in touch with his office and they said they would pass the message. His response times are atrocious and I told him about the patches in the grass. He says "no problem I'll send guys to evaluate and re-seed". They show up and do the job again. By mid-July, weeds are growing in very strong and grass is dying at exceedingly high rate despite me watering. I called him back and he says "that's odd, I'll come by this afternoon or tomorrow" in September when I finally get a hold of him. He never shows up or responds to texts or further calls. The photos below are post-lawn work with visible patches and weeds. I had to spend additional monies on top soil, grass seed and water to correct the loss of 50% of the lawn!! If you want an overpriced job not done right, Phil is your guy!!

Philz Landscaping built 2 patios on my property. One is flagstone and the other is pavers with a retaining wall. Both are absolutely beautiful. Working with Phil and his team has been a great experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliability, quality, and reasonable pricing.
