Stockade fences Crum Lynne, Pennsylvania

In the quaint and industrious borough of Crum Lynne, nestled within Pennsylvania's verdant embrace, one can find a unique emblem of privacy and security: the stockade fence. This architectural staple, with its history steeped in both colonial heritage and practical modernity, stands as a silent guardian over the homes and hearts of local residents.

A stockade fence is typically characterized by tall wooden planks placed tightly together, allowing no space between them to ensure maximum seclusion. It harks back to an era when fortifications were paramount; however, today it serves more as a decorative statement than a bastion against invaders. The robust construction not only secures property lines but also offers a canvas upon which homeowners can impart their personal aesthetic touch through paint or stain.

Crum Lynne itself exudes a down-to-earth charm that is reflected in the careful maintenance of these fences. They embody the community's commitment to preserving individual solitude while fostering neighborly bonds – barriers that protect yet do not divide. It’s not uncommon for locals to engage in friendly conversation across these timber ramparts, sharing stories or exchanging gardening tips.

Despite being less probable than other fencing options like vinyl or chain-link due to cost considerations and upkeep requirements, stockade fences have maintained popularity among Crum Lynne dwellers who appreciate their durability and timeless appeal. Skilled artisans within the area continue to erect these structures with precision and care, ensuring each board aligns perfectly with its brethren to form an unbroken line of defense against prying eyes and unwelcome wildlife intruders.

Moreover, stockade fences are seen as an investment in property value enhancement. Their presence suggests an air of stately elegance that beckons prospective buyers searching for that picture-perfect slice of suburban tranquility amidst bustling Delaware County.

As we traverse the neighborhoods where children play unfettered by fears of traffic or stranger-danger thanks to these wooden sentinels, we must acknowledge how such simple constructs shape our living environment. Stockade fences may seem like mundane features within our landscape; yet they represent so much more – stability, safety, privacy – fundamental aspects that convert houses into beloved homes.

Thus stands the humble stockade fence: stoic yet inviting—a testament to Crum Lynne’s enduring spirit of protective kinship draped in sylvan beauty.

We cannot say enough concerning Philz Landscape. One call and I connected with Pat. He met with us for a project which entailed removal of a partial cinder block porch with iron poles and remodeled an entire porch. We are pleased with the work performed. We found found that Pat was a man of his word and committed to pleasing us with minor finishes. I would highly recommend this company. Sincerely, Ricky and Donna L Jones

Angi provided me with several contractors, I received estimates but chose Philz Landscaping (even after coming in higher) because he satisfied with his estimate and start date our fervent desire to complete the project before winter set in. Alex, Javier set the example of professionalism in setting up the area to remove fencing and gate, installed vinyl fence with double gate (assisted by Carlos), removed all debris, left my yard spotless and we are extremely satisfied with the new fence and gate. Questions we had were answered (Helena, Phil) promptly and Alex, Javier went above and beyond ensuring my wife’s concerns were taken care of; I want again to Thank the team at Philz Landscaping and recommend highly to perform your project.

Had Phil and his workers come by my house to work on the backyard in May this year. Eliminate weeds, regrade soil and replant grass seed. 158 feet worth of backyard which he estimated $1600 to do. There was a hiccup with his office and scheduling and he wasn't even aware of the set date in mid-May. He rescheduled for the week after and took off $100 for inconvenience. His crew shows up and does the job and weeks after, grass grew....but not fully in corners of the yard. I called him back, voicemail immediately. Got in touch with his office and they said they would pass the message. His response times are atrocious and I told him about the patches in the grass. He says "no problem I'll send guys to evaluate and re-seed". They show up and do the job again. By mid-July, weeds are growing in very strong and grass is dying at exceedingly high rate despite me watering. I called him back and he says "that's odd, I'll come by this afternoon or tomorrow" in September when I finally get a hold of him. He never shows up or responds to texts or further calls. The photos below are post-lawn work with visible patches and weeds. I had to spend additional monies on top soil, grass seed and water to correct the loss of 50% of the lawn!! If you want an overpriced job not done right, Phil is your guy!!

Philz Landscaping built 2 patios on my property. One is flagstone and the other is pavers with a retaining wall. Both are absolutely beautiful. Working with Phil and his team has been a great experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliability, quality, and reasonable pricing.
