Dog ear fences Crum Lynne, Pennsylvania

In the quaint community of Crum Lynne, nestled within the rolling landscape of Pennsylvania, a unique feature often captures the attention of both residents and visitors alike. This distinctive trait is none other than the charming dog ear fences that dot the neighborhood's verdant lawns. As one strolls down the serene streets, these wooden sentinels stand guard around homes, their pointed tops reminiscent of a friendly canine's perky ears.

The dog ear fence design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also embodies functionality. The angular cut at the top helps to shed rainwater more effectively than a flat-topped alternative, prolonging the life of each wooden plank. Moreover, this style offers a touch of softness to what might otherwise be a stern boundary line, thus enhancing communal beauty.

Crafted from sturdy lumber sourced from local timber mills, these fences are testament to Crum Lynne's commitment to sustainability and support for regional economy. The town takes pride in its ability to merge practicality with visual appeal—each fence is treated with weather-resistant stains and sealants ensuring longevity amidst Pennsylvania’s sometimes unforgiving climate.

While some may consider fences mere dividers or privacy screens, in Crum Lynne they represent much more—they are symbols of heritage and craftmanship. Each board interlocked with its neighbor tells a story of collaboration among homeowners who value both personal space and an open-hearted community feel.

Throughout changing seasons—the crisp amber autumns, stark white winters, vibrant green springs, and warm golden summers—the dog ear fences stand resiliently. They witness children's laughter as they play in yards protected by these structures; they observe neighbors conversing over shared fence lines; they partake silently during festive neighborhood gatherings under twinkling evening skies.

To conclude, while it may appear as just another architectural element at first glance, Crum Lynne’s dog ear fences hold within them stories untold—a testament to tradition blending seamlessly with practical design. They offer not only security but also camaraderie amongst those living within their perimeter—an unspoken pact signified by wood pointed skyward like ears attuned to the heartbeat of this close-knit Pennsylvanian enclave.

We cannot say enough concerning Philz Landscape. One call and I connected with Pat. He met with us for a project which entailed removal of a partial cinder block porch with iron poles and remodeled an entire porch. We are pleased with the work performed. We found found that Pat was a man of his word and committed to pleasing us with minor finishes. I would highly recommend this company. Sincerely, Ricky and Donna L Jones

Angi provided me with several contractors, I received estimates but chose Philz Landscaping (even after coming in higher) because he satisfied with his estimate and start date our fervent desire to complete the project before winter set in. Alex, Javier set the example of professionalism in setting up the area to remove fencing and gate, installed vinyl fence with double gate (assisted by Carlos), removed all debris, left my yard spotless and we are extremely satisfied with the new fence and gate. Questions we had were answered (Helena, Phil) promptly and Alex, Javier went above and beyond ensuring my wife’s concerns were taken care of; I want again to Thank the team at Philz Landscaping and recommend highly to perform your project.

Had Phil and his workers come by my house to work on the backyard in May this year. Eliminate weeds, regrade soil and replant grass seed. 158 feet worth of backyard which he estimated $1600 to do. There was a hiccup with his office and scheduling and he wasn't even aware of the set date in mid-May. He rescheduled for the week after and took off $100 for inconvenience. His crew shows up and does the job and weeks after, grass grew....but not fully in corners of the yard. I called him back, voicemail immediately. Got in touch with his office and they said they would pass the message. His response times are atrocious and I told him about the patches in the grass. He says "no problem I'll send guys to evaluate and re-seed". They show up and do the job again. By mid-July, weeds are growing in very strong and grass is dying at exceedingly high rate despite me watering. I called him back and he says "that's odd, I'll come by this afternoon or tomorrow" in September when I finally get a hold of him. He never shows up or responds to texts or further calls. The photos below are post-lawn work with visible patches and weeds. I had to spend additional monies on top soil, grass seed and water to correct the loss of 50% of the lawn!! If you want an overpriced job not done right, Phil is your guy!!

Philz Landscaping built 2 patios on my property. One is flagstone and the other is pavers with a retaining wall. Both are absolutely beautiful. Working with Phil and his team has been a great experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliability, quality, and reasonable pricing.
